The sea levels on the evening of 11 Nov 2010 were

exceptionally high due to a Spring tide

and very low atmospheric pressure.

There was a near gale and it was raining hard

- and it was cold!

The top of the slipway

Washing over the wind surfing rigging area

The movable sections of the jetty that had not floated off in the earlier

gale.....

...now took off in the strong northerly wind.

It was a very unpleasant evening.

Next day we were able to collect most of the panels from the seafront to

the north and south of the club.
