We were happy to have assisted Strangford Coastal Rowing Club in their "Big Row" around the lough last Saturday, with NSC being one of their crew change points. In all they covered 32 nautical miles in an impressive time of 7 hours 40 minutes! Thanks to John Clemenston, one of our Trustees, for liaising on the organisation of this. As part of gearing up for the start of the season we held a very well attended Marine Radio SRC course at the weekend. Knowing how to use a VHF set correctly can be a life saver during an emergency. So, vital skills learnt and we had passes all round! Thanks to RG from Safer Waters for coming along to run this for us. |
