  Newtownards Sailing Club is throwing open its doors for a Discover Sailing Day on 16th May - and everyone is welcome! Join our qualified instructors for taster sessions in dinghy sailing and windsurfing, both on the water and onshore.
  Sessions run throughout the day in small, friendly groups of up to six, so you’ll get a genuine hands-on experience whatever your age or ability. Whether you’ve never set foot on a boat before or you’ve always been curious about windsurfing, this is the perfect place to start.
  Sailing and windsurfing are sports for life - great for fitness, confidence, getting outdoors - and Strangford Lough offers a spectacular setting, with views of the Mourne Mountains and Scrabo Tower. Our club has been welcoming sailors of all levels for decades, and Discover Sailing Day is your chance to see what it’s all about from the inside. Come along, get on the water, and meet the friendly faces who make Newtownards Sailing Club such a special place. You might just find your new favourite thing to do!
  Timed sessions will run throughout the day for adults and children over 8 - book your slot here. Places are capped to keep groups small, so we’d recommend booking early to avoid missing out. All equipment will be supplied, you'll really just need to bring some clothes you don't mind getting wet, a towel, and something dry to change into!
